A little while ago I talked about so-called pregnancy rules and how I ignored pretty much all of them! One of the biggest things that I noticed when I was reading the comments on the post was that so many of us didn’t bother with pelvic floor exercises and have lived to regret it.
Thinking back to when I was pregnant with Amelia, I’m not going to lie, I was blatantly like;
“I don’t have time for that
shit... And seriously what difference is it gonna make, I’m gonna get stretched beyond recognition anyway. Jeez, a baby has to come out of there!”
And then when I was pregnant with Wills;
“I don’t have time for that
shit... Or the energy… For crap’s sake, is it really time to feed the child again, didn’t I just do that?! I need to sit down. Don’t you know I’m about to birth a human, selfish toddler??”
I’m pretty sure that I’m not alone here, so when I was asked a few weeks ago to try out the vSculpt which has been specifically designed to help with pelvic floor tightening and other *ahem* issues that a lot of us face post kids, I jumped at the chance.
I’m going to be completely honest with you, when my vSculpt arrived and I unpacked it I was a little bit concerned that I had maybe misunderstood the purpose of it… You’ll see why in a minute! The unboxing itself was quite exciting, I have to say. Inside the outer sleeve the box itself is really quite sleek, and I felt like I was opening a cool new gadget.
Errr, sorry what is that?!
I’m just going to jump right in and say what I know you’re all thinking… It looks like a vibrator! Well, in a way it is, I guess. But let me tell you, this is no toy! I’ve had my vSculpt now for a few weeks, and have been using it as per the guidelines – once every other day for 6 minutes. Even though the suggestion is that you begin to feel the results after 60 days, I’m already feeling a change.
No word of a lie, I’m sat at my desk right now holding a wee in, and have been for about the last 15 minutes… Ok, I’m back (had to wee!) Obviously there are lots of other benefits the vSculpt has to offer – I think we all know the difference a stronger pelvic floor can make to our lives! I’d go into the intimates, but I really am still too tired for that
This on the other hand! Ok, maybe minus the running gear and plus 2 kids, but you get what I mean! We’re about to buy Amelia a trampoline for our new garden, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to jump to my heart’s content without actually wetting myself! I struggled with that before kids, let alone since!
On a serious note; as much as I jest, pelvic floor problems are a serious issue for a lot of women, post kids or otherwise. The vSculpt device offers a real solution without requiring surgery, taking forever, or even requiring much effort (just lie back and think of England?) The sheer embarrassment of a weak pelvic floor can stop us from doing a lot of the things we once were totally able to do without concern. I really can’t recommend this enough!
*I was sent a vSculpt device from Joylux, Inc in return for a review, but as always, all opinions expressed are entirely my own. **this post may contain affiliate links.
