I’ve been thinking a lot about the kind of pictures that I share on my blog, and in particular on social media. It’s no secret that I love a bit of Instagram, and I feel very strongly about sharing the good, bad, and downright ugly of our lives! But, that being said, I am guilty of discarding pictures that just aren’t right. That’s where #Im_PerfectShot comes in!
The idea behind #Im_PerfectShot is that none of us are perfect. None of our kids are perfect, and none of our lives are perfect. None of our homes are perfect all of the time, and sometimes that perfect shot just winds up being a big fat fail! But that’s just it – those big fat fails are part of our perfectly imperfect lives, so why shouldn’t we share them?!
I want to highlight the pictures that all so often get relegated to the ‘not good enough’ pile, or worse – DELETED! These so-called imperfect photos are exactly what our lives are all about, and 9 times out of 10 they showcase just what is really perfect about us, our kids, and our lives.
#Im_PerfectShot is there for all of those shots that end up blurry, that just miss the smile, or that catch the pile of washing in the corner of the room. It’s there for those shots when you realise that your mascara is smudged, or your post-natal bald patch is showing! It’s there for the shots you spend ages trying to capture ‘perfectly’ but just never quite get there, and for all the shots where the kids just don’t want to play ball.

🌟NEW HASHTAG COMMUNITY🌟 Join me in celebrating your #im_perfectshot !! I want to highlight the pictures that all so often get relegated to the 'not good enough' pile, or worse – DELETED! These so called imperfect shots are exactly what our lives are all about, and 9 times out of 10 they showcase the best moments of our days, and what is really perfect about us, our kids, and our lives. Amelia was laughing her little head off jumping as high as she could here, and no matter how hard I tried to get the 'perfect' shot of her in the air, all I kept getting was blurry weirdness like this. Do I delete those pics? Or do I share them anyway, knowing that despite it being blurry and unfocused, it was a happy part of our day!
So whether you want to highlight a picture that you think showcases your imperfections in their own imperfectly perfect way, or the imperfections of your life in their own perfect way, or the imperfections of your kids or life with kids, I’d love to see your pics!
