I really wish we were having a Halloween party this year. We’re not, so I’ve decided that I’m going to live vicariously through you lovely lot! Please feel free to send me and/or tag me in any photos of your Halloween  parties so I can feel like I’m part of the gang!

I did think about a party. It’s the first year that Amelia has been into the fancy dress side of it, and she understands what the event is about. But she hasn’t been at her new nursery for very long and I just wasn’t sure who to invite or even if anyone would bring their kid to the party of the new kid a child who hasn’t been there very long. In hindsight, I think I made the wrong call. Amelia’s coming home telling me the names of new friends every day, and I think a party would have been a great chance to socialise (for her and us!)

Oh well, you live and learn. Maybe we’ll host an end of term party… That’s a thing, right?! Tag me in end of term party ideas too guys!

I’m Not Having a Party, But You Should!

Anyway, if we were having a party, then one of my fave places pretty much would’ve had us sorted! I came so close to buying all this stuff the other day in Poundland, which given that there’s no party would’ve been pretty bloody ridiculous of me. (If you hadn’t guessed by now, I’m really pissed off with myself about the lack of party!)

I really wish we were having a Halloween party this year. We're not, so I've decided that I'm going to live vicariously through you lovely lot! Please feel free to send me and/or tag me in any photos of your Halloween  parties so I can feel like I'm part of the gang!

I’ve kind of fallen for the whole Day of the Dead range. I always feel a little bit torn between the real cheesy kids Halloween stuff, and the more sophisticated grown up stuff. I feel like this range is the perfect meet in the middle. The wine glasses are just that – glass! So you could genuinely pick up 6 wine glasses for £6! I’m pretty sure they have a variety of designs so you could mix and match or stick with one for a perfect set. Honestly, no-one can judge any parent for drinking at a kids Halloween party of they’re drinking out of a themed glass!

I think the photo booth props are a great idea for the kids and grown ups alike! If it were my party (just saying…) I’d save my FreePrints for the month and have printed one photo booth snap for everyone which you could then hand out a week or so after the party. Obviously that includes the really embarrassing ones of the adults!

In the Dark

Let’s be real just for a second. It’s just not a Halloween party unless all the lights are off and you’ve laboriously taped black bin bags over all crevices of light and windows. That’s where the cool electric candles come in. I think they would look fantastic dotted around the house, and to be honest I found it hard not to just buy a couple! In the light of the day they do, I’ll admit, look a bit naff. But switch all the lights off and place them strategically, you’ve got just the right spooky lighting to play toffee apple bobbing (bobbing for toffee apples in green jelly is the best Halloween party game IMHO).

These lights are even better because, let’s face it, candles, kids, and all the lights off is just not a good call.

I’ve Got You Covered

I literally could have done an entire party for less than £20 with all of the amazing stuff on offer this year. It’s safe to say that there’s almost no reason not to get organising! I say almost, because, y’know. All the clearing up after. Ugh.

I really wish we were having a Halloween party this year. We're not, so I've decided that I'm going to live vicariously through you lovely lot!

Great ideas. We’ve got a few pumpkins but that’s about it, this year. My little girl is a little bit scared of everything halloween at the moment. Maybe next year we’ll have a party x #fortheloveofBLOG

Oh how exciting!! My tip would be to get as much reusable stuff as possible; things you can put away and use year after year. Have fun!xx

We are also not having a party, though we are going to a friend’s for some Halloween fun! I love that this could have been so affordable – there doesn’t seem much point spending loads for one day 🙂 #BloggerClubUK
