I joined Slimming World in August 2015, weighing nearly 14.5 stone. It wasn’t the biggest I have ever been, but it was the lowest I have ever felt about my weight. After a really shitty year I had piled on weight, living on takeaways and junk food and barely fitting into any of my clothes. What did fit made me feel frumpy and fat, and I had zero self-confidence.
It’s been nearly 3 years since I became a parent for the first time (whaaaaat?!) Along the way, like most, I have learned some valuable lessons. One of them involves sausages, obviously (see above image).
We are a pretty honest and open society now, and with the massive online community only growing, there’s a wealth of information, advice and tips out there if you want to find it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my children, and there are hundreds of times I think “why did people tell me this would be shit?!” but there are some real things that really will happen that you might just wish someone like me had warned you about.
